D&H Steel Construction expands and works on new bridge

AUCKLAND, New Zealand -- D&H Steel Construction opens a new 12,500sq m facility and will build components to be trucked to the site of the $47 million upgrade of the one-lane gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula. A two-lane steel bridge will eventually cross the Waihou River south of Thames.

Schuff Steel-Atlantic starts work on new Marlins ballpark

MIAMI, FL -- Schuff Steel - Atlantic has started steel fabrication on the fixed roof portion of the Marlins' Ballpark. Schuff's contract includes fabricating approximately 2,900 tons of steel. Schuff is also providing steel services for the ballpark's catwalks, video display boards and main scoreboard. George's Welding Services has been subcontracted by Schuff to work on the project.

Prospect Steel of Little Rock, Arkansas fabricated the steel for NASA's A3 test stand at Stennis Space Center in western Mississippi. Once it becomes operational in May of 2011, the 235-ft-tall stand will be used to test NASA's newest rocket engine, the J-2X, which will power NASA's Constellation spacecraft, the Ares I, on manned missions to the moon, Mars, and possibly even other planets.
